The Alternative Foundation has been established to preserve nature, uphold research and innovation, and promote humanity globally through research and development (R&D) and policy advocacy. In this connection, for the first time in Nepal, The Alternative Foundation proudly announced the mega program ‘NEPAL SCIENCE FAIR 2024’ with the slogan ‘Science for Humanity’.

Expected output
- The Nepal Science Fair will contribute to developing scientific culture and society through massive
awareness-raising, policy advocacy, knowledge sharing, and demonstration. - Policymakers will be sensitized to the importance of science and technology for national building and achieving prosperity.
- Policymakers, academia, researchers, scientists, and students will get the opportunity to share their
knowledge among stakeholders. - The Nepal Science Fair will contribute to evidence-based policymaking and science- and technologyfriendly policy reform.
- Nepal Science Fair will contribute to localizing Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 9 (Industry,
Innovation, and Infrastructure), the 16th plan of government of Nepal, STI policy, and the digital
Nepal framework. - Researchers and innovators will be encouraged to invent new products and prototypes for the nation’s prosperity.
- The fair will contribute to building the network among stakeholders and creating a common platform
for working together in the future
